The Wildest 48-hour Marathon Film Fest In The Midwest

Second City To Judge

Friday, July 3, 2009

We are just ONE WEEK away from the festival! Are you guys excited? Just remember that entry forms that contain the secret criteria films must follow can be picked up July 10, at Henry’s Coffee House in Lawrence and Fred P. Otts at the Plaza in Kansas City between 7pm-10pm. Finished films (no longer then five-minute) are due 48 hours later, on July 12, at Liberty Hall in Lawrence or Hollywood at Home at the Plaza. Films must be turned in NO LATER then 10pm. If you and your team can’t make it out to the pick up locations please email us to sign up online-wildwestfilmfest09@gmail.com

With just one week from the festival, we have been getting a lot of emails regarding the criteria and genera of the festival. Although we can’t give out the secret criteria, we can give you a list of the possible genres for the festivals. The films will have to fallow one of the fallowing genres.
The genres are:
-Western
-Comedy
-Dramatic
-Action / Adventure
-Mystery

We also have some pretty cool judging info to pass out. This year, the films will be judged by SECOND CITY! A group of members from the Redco Second City touring improv group lead by KU Alum Megan Hovde Wilkins will be judging all the films this year! We are excited to be working with them! Keep checking out the website this week as we update it with judging info and more!
