She is one of Oprah’s favorite people and she’s one of Martha Stewarts experts on green living. Simran Sethi has signed on to be a judge at the Wild West Film Fest. Simran is the host of “The Green” on the Sundance channel. If you want to find out more about Simran just check out her spread in this month’s Green Issue of Vanity Fair magazine.
You might not know who Tom Kane is but you have probably heard his voice. Mr. Kane has been used as the voice announcer for the Oscars and this year he will be a judge at the Wild West Film Festival. Mr. Kane has been featured in many video games, he is the voice of Yoda in the popuar Star Wars video game line. He will be featured in Dreamworks new release “Shrek 3″. We are thrilled that he has agreed to join us at WWFF #5!
Michael McMillian, the star of Wes Craven’s “The Hills Have Eyes 2″ and also a regular cast member in the TV Drama “SAVED”, the WB’s “WHAT I LIKE ABOUT YOU” and “BIG LOVE” will be joining us as a judge. We are very grateful and excited to have Mr. McMillian join us this year. Watch for the upcoming WWFF interview!
Jon Niccum has been Entertainment Editor of the Lawrence Journal World since 2000. Prior to that he was music/film editor at Kansas City’s Pitch. He is currently the president of the Kansas City Film Critics Circle.
His short film “Zero the Counter” (written by Niccum and directed by Patrick Rea) debuted at the Estes Park Film Festival in September and was selected as one of seven films in 2006′s national Kansas Connection showcase. His latest project is the horror short “Merriman’s Circle,” also directed by Rea, that was shot in January. He has also co-written a feature called “Stuck!” with filmmaker Steve Balderson (“Firecracker”) and playwright Frankie Krainz. He has a degree in film studies from the University of Kansas.
Troy Hauschild has done just about every job in the entertainment business. He’s worked as a Producer, Cameraman, Editor, Actor and Grip, on features, TV and commercials. As a cameraman, he has shot in the pits of the Indy 500, chased tornadoes in Colorado, and flown through two hurricanes with the US Air Force!
Troy’s also a working actor, and can be seen in the background of a number of television shows including ER, The West Wing and The Shield. He recently hosted an episode of Not Your Average Travel Guide for The Travel Channel.
