The first Wild West Film Festival was held on June 10th 2005. It was a great success with 21 fantastic entries. We gave away over $800 in prizes and we gave all of our ticket proceeds to Habitat for Humanity of Lawrence. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our wonderful sponsors and judges!

Randy Mason, host of Channel 19′s “Rare Visions and Roadside Revelations” was the evenings host and a judge.

Justin Ripley
Singer and songwriter Justin Ripley got the show started at 7:00PM.

Dee Wallace Stone Judged WWFF
Award winning actress and star of Steven Spielberg’s “ET” agreed to be a judge for the 1st Wild West Film Fest.

“The Girl is a Ghost” played the After Party
Kansas City rock band “The Girl is a Ghost”, signed on to play the after party event at the Granada Theater. The after party started around 10:00 PM.

1ST PLACE WINNER ADULT RECEIVED
$50 in gift certificates to Town Center Plaza, $50 gift certificate to Pacha Mamas in Lawrence, $40 in gift certificates to The Hereford House, 2 tickets to the Kansas City Symphony, 2 gift passes to Sadlers Indoor Racing in Olathe, one $25 gift certificate to Birdies Panties in Midtown.

2ND PLACE WINNER ADULT RECEIVED
1 free large pizza a month for a year at Waldo Pizza in Kansas City, 1 $20 gift certificate to The Hereford House, $50 gift certificate to Pachamamas in Lawrence

3RD PLACE WINNER ADULT RECEIVED
